Katrina Rodriguez

Mrs. Katrina Denise Rodriguez, age 56, of Hiawassee, Georgia made it home on Monday, March 1, 2021; she slipped peacefully from her earthly body and directly into the presence of Jesus, the Man she introduced many to during her time here on earth. Katrina was born on November 10, 1964 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert and Margie (Neal) Youngblood in Atlanta, Georgia. She moved to Hiawassee as a teenager and finished out high school at Towns County High School where she was a basketball star! Katrina met and later married the late Pete Rodriguez; together they lived a Christ centered life and led many people to the Lord through their Spanish ministry. Katrina was a member of North Mt. Zion Church of God. She was a devoted wife and an exceptional mother to their daughter, Kendra. She loved being involved with worshipping, attending women's retreats, gospel, praise and worship music events or simply being with her church family on Sunday mornings. Heading to the movies with friends or her daughter was a welcomed pastime in her life. She had a gift for working with and loving on children and those children loved her dearly. Katrina had an infectious laugh, a good sense of humor and could possibly be slightly stubborn if truth be told but that is what made Katrina special and loved by so many. She will be deeply missed.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 5, 2021 at North Mt. Zion Church of God from 12:00-1:00P

Funeral service will be on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:00p in the sanctuary of North Mt. Zion Church of God with Rev. Raburne Wilson officiating.

Music by the Wilson Family.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Banister-Cooper Funeral Home to help offset the cost of funeral expenses if you wish. A Go Fund Me has also been set up for donations.

For the safety of all in attendance the family requests that social distancing, masks, proper hand washing and hand sanitizer be followed according to CDC guidelines.
