Ann Marie Wadley Dennison, age 76 of Hiawassee, GA left us on Sunday, February 07, 2010. She was born on January 16, 1934 in West Palm Beach, FL and was raised in Macon, GA, the only child of Frank and Pauline Wadley. She attended the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL as well as Auburn University. She raised her family in Montgomery, AL and Riverview, FL before moving to the mountains that she loved in 1978. She worked in the restaurant business before opening her own restaurant, "Ann's Place," which she was so proud of. She retired in 1992 and soon became active in the local community. She enjoyed crafting, bridge and volunteer work. She was active in the local AARP chapter where she received two Presidential Awards for volunteerism. She volunteered at Towns County Senior Center and helped with Meals on Wheels. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she continued to do volunteer work. She experienced a medical incident in 2006 that resulted in her moving into the Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. She is survived by her three sons, LeRoy, Larry and Lewy, her daughters-in-law Donna and Michele Ann, her grandchildren, Amber, Brandi, Beth and Paul and one great grand-son, Drake and many friends in the area. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with President Alden Caron from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Music was provided by Ken Fuller. Interment was in Burch cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
