Annie Ruth NULL Berrong

Mrs. Annie Ruth Berrong, age 83 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late Leonard and Bertha (Underwood) Nicholson on January 14, 1925 in Towns County, GA. She is survived by daughter, Sandra Byers, of Hiawassee, GA; sons, Gary Berrong, of Hiawassee, GA; Mike Berrong, of Hiawassee, GA; brother, Wade Nicholson, of Hiawassee, GA; sisters, Thelma Reed and Opal Berrong, both of Hiawassee, GA; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. David Berrong officiating. Music was provided by Rodney and Becky Underwood. Pallbearers were: Tim Coleman, Joseph Foster, Scott Hamilton, Brandon Burrell, Jeff Arrowood and William Chastain. Interment was in Lower Hightower Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
