Blon Swanson

Mrs. Blon Swanson, age 86 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on March 10, 2013 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late Charlie and Stella (McConnell) Kirby on September 17, 1926 in Hiawassee, GA. She is survived by daughters, Unata Berrong and Pat Wright; two sons, Larry Swanson and Terry Swanson, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2:00PM from Union Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Ledford, Rev. Don Maynard and Dr. Charles Wilson officiating. Music was provided by Chris Rumfelt and the church choir. Pallbearers were: Neal Matheson, Kris Berrong, Tom Jern, Eric Swanson, Benny Barrett and Melvin Swanson. Honorary pallbearer was Jimmy Berrong Jr.. Interment was in Burch cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
