Carolyn Cribben Albury

Mrs. Carolyn Albury, age 92, of Celebration, Florida, passed away at Fannin Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Carolyn was born on June 1, 1929, in Oak Park, Illinois, to the late Robert and Alice (Owen) Cribben. She was married to the love of her life Richard Albury for 49 years until his passing in 2015. Carolyn was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Cribben and sister, Elizabeth Fatool. She was an avid bridge player and also a fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Braves. After retirement, she and her husband traveled the United States in their motorhome. They even had the opportunity to enjoy Hawaii with their family and officially marked off their list of visiting all 50 states. Carolyn was also a member of McConnell Baptist Church for over 40 years. Those left to cherish her memory are as follows; children, Dede and Jay Dobbins of Young Harris, Mike and Debbie von Schade of Young Harris; Debbe Craig of Blairsville; Karen Garrett of Young Harris, Chuck and Judy Albury of Young Harris; grandchildren, Janna Wooten, Jayson Dobbins, Jayme Gately, Michael von Schade, Amanda von Schade, Jonathan Craig, Maria Garrett, Krystal Adams, Kimberly Spade; 15 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation: Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home
Funeral Service: Friday, January 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Taylor officiating.
Pallbearers: Walker Young, Grant Young, Michael von Schade, Chris Quarles, Jonathan Gately, and Greg Wooten
Interment will follow the funeral service at Osborn cemetery. Banister-Cooper Funeral Home is honored to care for Mrs. Albury.
