Charles R McClure

Mr. Charles Roy McClure, age 81 of Blairsville, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 01, 2011 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late T.C. and Leila (Justice) McClure on May 09, 1929 in Young Harris, GA. He is survive by his wife, Ruth McClure, of Blairsville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Teresa McClure, of Villa Rica, GA; Randy and Linda McClure, of Blairsville, GA; Robby and Jana McClure, of Young Harris, GA; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 04, 2011 at 11:00AM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Pastor Raburne Wilson, Rev. Jimmy Hogsed and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Music was provided by Ryan Wilson, Emily Gerdes and Gene Enlow. Pallbearers were: Gavin King, Matt McCain, Curtis Brown, Kyle McClure, Chris Parson and Jason Smith. Honorary pallbearers were: Hubert Plott, Horace Plott, J.W. Porter, Gene Enlow and Matthew McClure.. Interment was in Hayesville United Methodist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee entrusted with arrangements.
