Corey Lee Arrowood

Mr. Corey Lee Arrowood, age 26, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 following a brief illness. Corey was born on August 27, 1991 in Murphy, NC to Jimmy Lee Arrowood and to the late Tracy Dawn (Goodson) Moss. Mr. Arrowood could often be found hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Corey was preceded in death by his mother, Tracy Dawn (Goodson) Moss and grandparents, Ross and Loraine Arrowood. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Jimmy and Georgia Arrowood, girlfriend; Meletha Hoopaugh, daughter and light of his life, Alexis Arrowood; brothers, Dakota Shook, Tyler Shook, Austin Shook and Blake Arrowood; sisters, Shawna Arrowood, Danielle Arrowood, Jenni Arrowood, Victoria Arrowood, and Katherine Shook Milam; grandmother, Glenda Townsend; nieces and nephews, Kaydence Branson, Jase Stanley, Carter Shook, Xander Milam, Veronica Milam and Ava Shook. 

Visitation: Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home

Service: Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiating. 

Interment: Following the service at Burch Cemetery

Pallbearers: Tyler Shook, Dakota Shook, Kyle Arrowood, Eric Arrowood, Josh Whidden, and Katherine Milam

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Banister Funeral Home to help defray costs. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
