Darrell Garrett

Darrell Garrett, age 65, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on March 17, 2016 at his home. Darrell was born on September 15, 1950 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Montie and Mae (Beck) Garrett. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Garrett, Carroll Garrett and Ernest Garrett. Survivors include his son, Stacey Garrett of Gainesville, GA; sister, Jessie Ditmore of Lawrenceville, GA; three grandsons and a number of nieces and nephews. A visitation was held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home with a graveside service following at Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery at 2:00 PM. Rev. Harold Ledford officiated. Pallbearers were Tony Garrett, Brian Garrett, Shane Garrett, Carlton Garrett, Jeff Arrowood and Dale Allberry. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia in charge of arrangements.
