David Randolph Ely

David Randolph Ely, CRNA EdD, age 80, of Young Harris, GA. David leaves his wife, Sharon Ely; daughter, Elizabeth; son, Matthew; step daughter, Tamara; four grandchildren, Jonah, Amelia, Kathleen, and Zachary. Dave was a two tour decorated Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Army. He held a pilots license and jump wings. He taught graduate level Nurse Anesthesia for 35 years in Michigan, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida, before retiring to Young Harris in 2006. He loved sailing and motorcycling all his life. In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held due to covid and his ashes will be interned at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your nonprofit of choice in David's Memory.
