David Evans

Ted Evans passed in peace on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the age of 77.  He is survived by his wife, Patsy Evans, daughters Kim Waitz and Amanda Evans and granddaughter Alex Walls.  He was a loving grandfather to Jessica, Jordan, Brooke, Courtney and Riley and stepfather to Jennifer, Jana, Rhonda and Ginger.  He is also survived by three of his six siblings, Emily McCall, Virginia Heath and Marie Scott.

Known to many of the grandkids as “Papa Ted”, he was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.  He was known for being a strong, loving and protecting force in the lives of his family and friends.

Ted was a proud GM retiree who, in partnership with his wife, Patsy, enjoyed working with the Remax Hiawassee team for many years.  He never met a stranger and was never afraid to speak his opinion, asked or not.  As Ted would often say, “I know that’s right!”  (We all know Ted liked to have the last word and we’re happy to give this one to him.)
