Deanne Mason Hunter

DeAnne Hunter, 84, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved 

 ones. She lived a vibrant life filled with love, adventure, and unwavering faith.

DeAnne was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Earley, in 2011, with whom she shared many

cherished years. In 2013, she found love again and married BJ Hunter, who passed away in 2022. She is survived by

her devoted daughter, Brenda Hunt, her son, Ken Earley, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of

whom brought immense joy to her life. In her younger years, DeAnne was an avid

outdoorswoman. She loved camping, hiking, backpacking, sailing, racing sailboats, surfing, and motorcycling. Her

adventurous spirit and zest for life inspired everyone who knew her. Later in life, DeAnne’s faith became the cornerstone of

her journey. She found the Lord and has been a dedicated member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church. There,

she served her community with unwavering commitment. DeAnne ran the church library, volunteered for Vacation

Bible School, and was a leader in the Awana’s ministry. Most recently, she served as the prayer coordinator for the

Teas from the Heart ministry, leaving a lasting impact on her church family.

As a young mother, DeAnne devoted herself to raising her children at home, creating a nurturing and loving

environment. Once her children were older, she worked for the Pinellas County School Board in Largo, Florida,

retiring in 1998 as an Accounts Payable Coordinator. Following her retirement, DeAnne and Kenneth moved to

their cherished vacation home in Hiawassee, Georgia, where she embraced the peace and beauty of the mountains.

DeAnne will be remembered for her boundless love, faith, and adventurous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of

kindness, service, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor with family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to

Trail's and Ranch P.O. Box 460 Ekalaka, MT 59324 or a charity of your choice in DeAnne’s honor.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones in the arms of her Savior.
