Deloris NULL Chastain

Mrs. Deloris Chastain, age 79 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Friday, July 09, 2010 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late Charlie and Stella (McConnell) Kerby on January 21, 1931 in Hiawassee, GA. She was a member of Union Hill Methodist Church for a number of years. She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Mr. Archie Chastain, of Hiawassee, GA; daughter, Cheryl Octgen, of Jacksonville, FL; son, David Nicholson, of Toccoa, GA; sister Blon Swanson, of Hiawassee, GA; two grandchildren, Melissa Teske and Christy Gaston; two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 2:00PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Music was provided by Bobby Taylor. Pallbearers were: Jamie Beck, Terry Swanson, Jimmy Berrong, Sr., Benny Barrett, Kolby Kindy, Chad Hooper, Vester Barrett and Charles Land. Interment will be in Burch cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
