Devero NULL Chastain

Mr. Devero Chastain, age 81, of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Union General Hospital. He was born to the late John and Nancy (Arrowood) Chastain on November 10, 1927 in Towns County, GA and was a member of Union Hill Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Chastain. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Renee & Dennis Collins, of Hayesville, NC; brothers, Archie Chastain, of Hiawassee, GA; Freeman Chastain, of Blairsville, GA; Tommy Chastain; of Young Harris, GA; sister, Vada Lee Hughes, of Young Harris, GA; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Derreberry officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Curtis Guice, Kal Kindy, Jason Chastain, Anthony Warren, Carl Gillespie and Randy Hampton. Music was provided by Carrie and Kathy Dills. Interment was in Burch cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
