Donald Claud Barnett

Donald Barnett passed away December 23, 2014 at his home in Brasstown Manor, Hiawassee Georgia.  His beloved wife, Alice, preceded him in death.  Don was born September 13, 1931 and was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida.  He lived and worked in West Palm until he and Alice discovered their mutual love of the countryside of Georgia where they enjoyed fishing, gardening and viewing the wildlife from their cabin porch.  Don served in the Air Force during the 1950s.  Five of Don's siblings preceded him in death and he is survived by his sister, Joyce Barnett.  He had many friends and will be especially remembered by Doug and Rita De Lorme.  Though he did not have children, Don will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as a cheerful, kind, gentle and peaceful man who taught many of them the joys of fishing and duck hunting.  Don requested cremation and no service is planned at this time.
