Donald L Gibson

Mr. Donald L. Gibson, age 89, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Tanner Medical Hospital. Donald was born on May 15, 1927 in Robertstown, Georgia to the late Francis and Lenna (Mull) Gibson. He was a hard working, humble, God-fearing man who loved his children and grandchildren. He was also a great husband, dad, and father-in-law. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by brothers, Wayman Gibson, Leon Gibson, and Kelsey Gibson; sisters, Clara Henson and Edith Leeds. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Eva Gibson of Villa Rica, Georgia, children; daughter, Sandra Fouts of Villa Rica, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Angela Gibson of Doraville, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Craig Wolfe of Douglasville, Georgia and Melissa and John Lowder of Doraville, Georgia; brother, John Gibson of Hiawassee, Georgia; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of friends also survive. 

Visitation: Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10:00 - 12:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home

Service: Monday, February 6, 2017 at 12:00 PM from the chapel at Banister Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Bagwell officiating. 

Interment: Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, Jack Rabbit Road, Hayesville, NC 

Pallbearers: Daniel Fouts, Ricky Lowder, Craig Wolfe, Philip Gibson, Nick Davis, and Nathan Lux.
