Donnie Berrong

Donnie Louvadi Berrong, age 94, of Hiawassee passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021. Donnie was born on March 20, 1927 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Leona (Shook) Hicks in Tennessee. She attended Mt. Pleasant Church of God where she was in the choir and faithfully taught Sunday School. She was a Godly woman who would pick up her friends and others to take them to church. She claimed Psalm 91 as her scripture, especially verse 16, "with long life will I satisfy Him." She was a quiet, soft spoken, loving lady that was loved by all. She is preceded in death by her above mentioned parents; husband, William Berrong; brothers, Willard Hicks and Wayne Hicks; sisters, Imalee Bradley and Janie Hicks; daughters, Linda Lou Berrong and Renee Michelle Berrong; and sons, William Denver Berrong and Gregory Berrong. She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Simpson; son and daughter-in-law, Hugh and Helen Berrong; grandchildren, Deedee Soloman, Michael Simpson, and Tandi Roberts; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of friends and neighbors whose lives she touched.

Visitation: Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 6:00-8:00P at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.
Service: Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 3:00P in the chapel of Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.
Burial: will follow at Upper Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery.
