Dorothy C Smith

Mrs. Dorothy "Cecil" Smith age 70 of Young Harris, GA passed away on Friday, December 28, 2007 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late Garland and Ada (Self) Messer on March 11, 1937 in Towns County, GA. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Paul Smith, of Young Harris, GA; sons, Gregory Smith of Knoxville, GA and Douglas Smith of Watkinsville, GA; a brother, Bob Messer of new Wellington, SC, sisters, Claudelle Reifsnyder, of Canton, OH; Faye Ford, of Warne, NC; grandchildren, Connor and Duncan Smith and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 02, 2008 at 11:00 AM from Banister Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Music was provided by Shelia Eller. Pallbearers were Ernie Gibson, Rex Norton, Ray Ledford, Gene Clopton, Dr. Keith Matthews and Lonnie Marcus. Interment was in Laurel Hills Memory Garden cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
