Elizabeth Ledford

Mrs. Elizabeth (Cowart) Ledford, age 91, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her home. Elizabeth was born on September 8, 1926 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Howell and Emma (Eller) Cowart. She was of the Baptist faith. Elizabeth owned and operated Miller’s Cloth Store for a number of years and was known to make many beautiful quilts. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elda Mathis. She is survived by her son and his girlfriend, Dennis Ledford and Teresa Wilson of Hiawassee, Georgia; sister, Marie Chastain of Hiawassee, Georgia; grandchildren, Betina Ledford, Chris Ledford, and girlfriend, Bobbie Lovingood; great grandchild, Jordan Labens; step great grandchildren Brian Lovingood, Brittany Lovingood, and Jonathan Lovingood; a number of nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Visitation: Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home

Services: Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Cantrell officiating. 

Pallbearers: Chris Ledford, Brian Lovingood, Richard Labens, and Fred Pidoux

Interment: Following the service at Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery
