Eunata J Chastain

Eunata Jesse Chastain age 74 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on January 28, 2010 following a period of declining health. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Vernon Chastain. She was born to the late Willard and Myrtle (Bradley) Ledford on November 20, 1935 in Hiawassee, GA. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Junior and Annette Chastain, of Hiawassee, GA; brothers, Hayes Ledford, of Hayesville, NC and Gene Ledford, of VA; sisters, Ola Ledford, of Hiawassee, GA and Linda Garrett, of Hayesville, NC; one grandson, J. Vernon "Trey" Chastain, of Hiawassee, GA and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Rogers, Rev. Ken Nicholson and Rev. Patrick Garrett officiating. Pallbearers were: Mike Lallement, Terry Swanson, Daniel Berrong, Darren Osborn, Jeff Garrett and Hayes Ledford. Honorary pallbearers were Ryan Osborn, Jimmy Wright, Neal Dover, John Clemmons, Jeff Penland and the members of Towns County EMS. Interment was in Burch cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
