Eva Nell ( Ledford) Silvers Patterson, age 82 of Hiawassee, GA passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 after an extended illness. She had lived most of her life in Hiawassee, GA., before moving to Hayesville N.C. to live at Bridging the Gap assisted living for several years before moving to Murphy Medical Alzheimerâs Unit for past 9 years. Eva Nell was a homemaker most of her life, she worked at Carolina Dress for a number of years as well as working with her husband Don Patterson at his home Sewing Machine Repair Service. Eva had also volunteered with the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. She was a member of Enotah Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Mattie Worley Ledford, brothers Floyd, Otis, D.L., Rondal and Hayes Ledford all of N.C, and one sister Cleo Ledford Bowling of North Wilksboro, N.C. daughter Jackie Lynn Silvers Lee, granddaughter Katrina Lynn Silvers and great granddaughter Emma Caroline Silvers.
She is survived by son Clyde Silvers of Hiawassee Ga., daughters Barbara Silvers Spiva of Hiawassee Ga., Janey Silvers Cornett of Blue Ridge Ga., Sonya Silvers Hunter of Sugar Hill, Ga and Martha Silvers Mashburn of Hayesville, N.C., 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be at Banister Funeral Home on the evening of Tuesday, April 28th, from 6 to 9 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at Banister Funeral Home at 11:00 am, Wednesday April 29th, 2015 and officiated by Bishop Lyndon Anderson and Rev. Donny Jarrad.
Interment will be at the Enotah Cemetary on Fodder Creek.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Tony Nichols, Jason Silvers, Greg Spiva, John Spiva, Curtis Spiva, and James Mashburn.
