Eva Saggus

Eva Saggus, 73, a life-long resident of Atlanta, Georgia, passed unexpectedly on
December 10, 2021 in Hiawassee. She was much loved by her family and friends and
there are many remembrances of the kindness and love she sowed into everyone’s life.
Her family was not just the one she was born into, but the ones of her life-long friends
she was a part of. Eva possessed an amazing spirit and inherently loved art, books, history, music, plants and European travel. She had the gift of composing rhyming verse and song in an instant. A good cup of tea, a good bottle of wine, a good British sitcom or whodunit, were a much enjoyed time of day. Eva’s professional career was with the Department of Family and Children Services. Her loving concern for the well-being of all life was not only manifested in her work; but also in her love of animals who needed to be cared for, and in her extensive support of charitable organizations. Her life was rich in faith and a blessing to many. She was greatly loved by her immediate family Hoyt and Shannon Saggus, Patsy Saggus, Miriam King, Elizabeth and Nick Somers, Shawn Robider, Kelly Robider, Scott and
Shari Robider, Ashley and Ricky Matthews, her extended family of friends, and other
endearing relatives. A memorial service will be held on January 15, 2022. Until then, dear reader, we leave you with the blessing our beloved Eva spoke into everyone’s life….”Peace be with you.”
