Evelyn F Bacon

Evelyn Floray Bacon, age 86, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 following a period of declining health. Mrs. Bacon was born in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Guy Dubs Floray and Florence Merella Kern Floray. She was employed with Southern Bell from 1948- 1980 and was a life member of the AT&T Pioneers. She and her husband tirelessly volunteered with Campers on Mission and she was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Bacon.

Survivors include her son, William Bacon, Jr. and wife, Elaine of Hiawassee; brother, Harold Floray of Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania; sisters, Joyce Doyle and Audrey Hutschenreuter, both of Baltimore, Maryland, Betty Schwensen of Boonsboro, Maryland; grandchildren, David Ryan Bacon and Christy Bacon Darnell, both of Canton, Georgia; six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 19, 2010 in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The Reverend Frank Brooks officiated. Music was provided by Nancy Noggle. Pallbearers were Tim Bacon, Guy Schwensen, Dennis Jackson, Darren Osborn, Dwayne Osborn, and Tyler Osborn.
