Evelyn Louise Walters

Evelyn Louise Liles Walters, age 100, passed away in Union General Nursing Home on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar and Lilian Liles in New York on April 11, 1922. Evelyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Blairsville. She moved to the Brannon Lodge in Blairsville, Georgia and spent 28 years heavily active in the community. Evelyn was all about her family and friends; she loved to go out to dinner and no outing was complete without going for donuts after a good day of shopping. She enjoyed family gatherings and stayed active until she was 95. 

 

She is preceded in death by her above mentioned parents; husband, Charles Walters; son-in-law, John Schindelar; and brother, Harold Liles. She leaves behind her children and spouses, Dorothy Schindelar, Don and Diane Walters, Patti and Mark Dugan and Carol and Phil Whitton; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; nineteen great great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

 

Visitation: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 1:00-2:00PM at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home 

Funeral: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 2:00PM at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Chatham and Rev. Roy Bateman.
