Fannie B Erwin

Mrs. Fannie Bell Erwin, age 88 of Hiawassee, GA (formerly of Young Harris, GA) passed away on Thursday, October 09, 2008 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late George and Lovena (Chastain) McClure on September 19, 1920 in Towns County, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Joseph Erwin in 1995. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Young, of Gainesville, GA; Betty Thomas, of Young Harris, GA; Joeta Youngblood, of Jasper, GA; son, Charles Erwin, of Young Harris, GA; sister, Mary Brown, of Blairsville, GA; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM from Old Union Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Hogsed and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Pallbearers were: Brandon Young, Matt Youngblood, Joseph Thomas, Seth Youngblood and Jimmy Krokonko. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Sonny Thomas, Jeff Krokonko and Ben Krokonko. Interment was in Old Union Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
