Gerald Callaway Denton

Gerald Callaway Denton, age 51, of Hayesville, North Carolina passed away on December 19, 2021 at Memorial Campus Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Gerald was born to Mrs. Maudine Denton Goodwin and the late (Buddy) Withiam Gerald Denton on September 7, 1970. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents; E.C. Denton, Faye Berrong Denton, Henry Brown, Selma Brown and uncle, Gary Brown. Gerald loved his family very much and enjoyed his three daughters. He also loved being out in the mountains. Gerald is survived by his mom, Maudine Denton Goodwin; stepdad, Jimmy Goodwin; daughter, Amber Payne Denton of Hiawassee, Georgia; step-daughters, Clarissa Rogers (Robert) and Alex Conley of Hayesville, North Carolina; sisters, Belinda Bradley and Bailey Denton of Hiawassee, Georgia; brothers, Michael Denton and Brock Denton of Hiawassee, Georgia; three granddaughters, Emma Grace Rogers, Anna Kate Rogers and Cara Lynn Rogers all of Hayesville, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date with Pastor Rob Sizemore officiating.
