Glen Gerald Dunning

On September 24, 2015, Glen Gerald Dunning of Hiawassee, GA, left this mortal earth and stepped into eternity, safe in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. While he will be missed by his family and friends, our grief is tempered by the knowledge of his strong relationship with Jesus.  
Glen was born on September 23, 1935 in Carlton County, MN.  He grew up and attended schools in Northeastern Minnesota.  He worked for Elliot Meats, owned a Dairy Farm, and had various other jobs until he and wife Joy Dunning moved south to escape the Minnesota winters in 1993, where Glen worked as a surveyor in Fayetteville, AR.  Upon retirement in 1999, Glen and Joy settled in Hiawassee, GA where they were blessed with many friends and enjoyed the beauty of mountain life.
Glen was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joy Dunning just 8 weeks ago.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Mabel Dunning.  He is survived by sister Colleen LaTour and brother Howard Dunning, both of Duluth, MN, and brother in law, Richard (Yvonne) Bullock of Grand Rapids, MN.  He is also survived by his loving stepchildren Richard (Debra) Voges of Red Wing, MN, Timothy (Teresa) Voges of Lindstrom, MN, Kimberly (Dale) Flinck of Grand Rapids, MN, Joseph Voges of Isanti, MN, and Lynn-Marie (Gary) Ranger of Grand Rapids, MN, as well as 15 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.  He was greatly loved by all.
Glen will be buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN along with his wife, Joy.
