Harold C Slagle

Mr. Harold Carl Slagle, age 90 of Hiawassee, GA (formerly of East Grand Rapids, MI) passed away on Tuesday, June 03, 2008 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Abner and Ada (Oswald) Slagle on May 04, 1918 in Williams County, OH. He was formerly employed by G&T Distributors, was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for thirty-one years and a Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Slagle, of Hiawassee, GA; son, James Harold Slagle, of Cumming, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas David and Tami Slagle, of Norway, MI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Merlin and Patricia Slagle, of Eldon, OH; and Herbert and Mary Repp, of Hicksville, OH; sister, Elizabeth Douglas, of Pioneer, OH; two granddaughters, Barbie Jo and Mary Slagle and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services were held on Saturday, June 07, 2008 at 2:00 PM from Sharp United Methodist Church in Young Harris, GA with Rev. Darris Baker and Rev. Patty Ryle Clay officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local youth group in Mr. Slagle memory. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
