Inez E Shook

Mrs. Inez Hooper Shook, age 94 of Young Harris, GA passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late Grover and Evie Hooper, July 12, 1913 in Towns Co., Georgia. Se was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Arvel M. Shook and daughters Dale Brown and Eva Ruth Southern and son Noel Shook. Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Joyce Hamby of Young Harris, GA; sons: Paul Shook and Grover Shook of Young Harris, GA, Terrell Shook of Woodstock, GA and Guy Wayne Shook of Blairsville, GA; sister Mrs Vada Lee Cothren of Swannanoa, NC; 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday March 31, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the West Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Young and the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Interment was in the West Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Johnny Southern, Danny Brown, Brant Shook, Tim Shook, Greg Shook, Delin Brown and Jimmy Southern. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
