Jackie Carol Hart, age 52, of Tampa, FL (formerly of Hiawassee, GA) passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Jackie was born on January 30, 1957 to the late Barbara Trout (Watkins) of Hiawassee, GA and the late Robert Hart of Fredricksburg, VA, in Towns County, GA. She was of the Baptist faith. Jackie served as SSGT for the United States Air Force. She received numerous, awards, medals and commendations for her outstanding service and dedication to her country. She was an active and devoted volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital in Tampa, FL. She is survived by her son, Aaron Green, of Fairfax, VA; daughter, Essie Green, also of Fairfax, VA; son, Lucas Pannell, of Monroe, GA; sisters, Shelia Owenby, of Cleveland, GA; Pam Henderson, of Hiawassee, GA; and Stacie Ledford, of Hayesville, NC; two nieces, Amanda and AJ Loggins, of Cleveland, GA; and a nephew, Hayden Ledford, of Hayesville, NC. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 1:00PM from Bethabara Baptist Church. Military Honors were conducted by North Carolina Military Funeral Honors. Music was provided by Jeanie Pyle. Pallbearers were: Junior Bradshaw, Jason Ledford, Jerry Lee Eller, Bill Louk, Lawson Eller and Kenneth Eller. Interment was in Bethabara Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
