James R Arrowood

Mr. James "Ross" Arrowood, age 79 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Elisha and Jennie (Ferguson) Arrowood on March 09, 1932 in Hiawassee, GA. He retired from the GA DOT with 32 years of service. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Lamar Foster, of Hiawassee, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Georgia Arrowood, of Hiawassee, GA; sister, Mazel Parton, of Hayesville, NC; sister, Lula Belle Barnes, of Hiawassee, GA; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 22, 2011 from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Rumfeldt officiating. Music was also provided by Rev. Chris Rumfeldt. Pallbearers were: Bryan foster, Justin Foster, Corey Arrowood, Doug Rogers, Dykota Shook, Josh Milam and Lamar Foster. Interment was in Burch cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
