James W Nichols

Mr. James Willis Nichols age 86 of Young Harris, GA passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007 following a period of declining health. He was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Ree Kendall and a son, Bruce Nichols. He was born to the late Dock and Ora (Eller) Nichols on August 09, 1921 in Towns County, GA. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Nichols, of Young Harris, GA; daughter, Mrs. Barbara Goolsby, of Monticello, GA; sons Dennis and Perry Nichols, both of Young Harris, GA; a brother, J.B. Nichols, of Young Harris, GA; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 02, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Darrell Dale officiating. Pallbearers were: Matthew Goolsby, Brian Goolsby, Wade Nichols, Jerry Kendall, John Ray Parker and Bennie Connell. Interment was in Woods Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee entrusted with arrangements.
