Jeanette Byers Cole

Jeanette Cole, age 89, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 following a brief illness. Jeannette was born on August 18, 1934 to the late Mr. And Mrs. Stoy and Ada (Underwood) Byers in Hiawassee, Georgia. She was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church and loved the Lord. She was a Registered Nurse for most of her life; working in many different hospitals throughout North Georgia. Gardening and cooking were her passions outside of work.  Her family remembers Jeanette having a warm and giving personality who made everyone feel welcomed and special. 

She is preceded in death by her above-mentioned parents; her first husband of thirty-eight years, James Thomas Miller and sisters, Adele Moody and Shelby Allen. She is survived by her husband, Roy Cole; daughter and son-in-law, Curtis and Lindy Jones; along with extended family and friends. 

Funeral: Monday, June 17, 2024 11:00 at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Taylor officiating
