Jeffrey Carl Broom

Mr. Jeffrey Carl Broom, age 51, of Hayesville, NC passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 following injuries in a motorcycle accident. He was born on August 05, 1960, in Marietta, GA. He is survived by wife, Robin Broom, of Hayesville, NC; father, Walter and step-mother, Sharon Broom, of Ellijay, GA; mother and step-father, Mary and Cecil Green, of Oakwood, GA; daughters, Alyssa Mooney, of LaFayette, LA; Casara Regenold, of Crossville, TN; Haley Broom, of Cleveland, GA; one step-brother, Jeffrey Dorris, of Dallas, GA; sisters, Janis Holsenbeck, of Ellijay, GA; Cheryl Morris, of Austell, GA; Teri Sullivan, of Powder Springs, GA; Vicki Trvett, of Demorest, GA; step-sister, Melinda Gillespie, of Kennesaw, GA; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Hiawassee United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Blair and Rev. Steve Shaffer officiating. Music provided by Chris West and Hope Horkavy. Pallbearers were: Mark Regenold, Jack Henderson, Caleb Mooney, David Sutton, Jeff Dorris and Mike Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers were Kirby, Jacob and Taylor Morris. Interment was in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements. The family requests donations and contributions be made to Hiawassee United Methodist Church in Honor of Jeffrey Broom.
