Jerry Jenkins

Thomas Jerry Jenkins, age 90 of Young Harris, Georgia passed away after a brief illness on February 28, 2022. Jerry was born to the late Mr. and Mrs Thomas Judson and Bonnie (Colwell) Jenkins in Young Harris, Georgia on February, 29, 1932. He was a member of Old Union Baptist Church, formerly a member of the Lions Club and had over a 30 year career at Blue Ridge Mountain EMC. He was married to Mrs. Betty (Bryson) for 69 years before her passing in 2020. Jerry loved to travel, he visited 49 states and 7 Canadian provinces. He was an outdoors person, loved to camp and could grow any plant. He and Betty made every home Basketball game at Young Harris College and had hopes to have attended the last basketball game last week. He was devoted to his wife and children, tender hearted and loved talking about the old days leaving his children and grandchildren with many memories.
