Jewell Shook Jones

Jewell Shook Jones, age 89, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at Brasstown Manor. Jewell was born at home on Upper Hightower to the late Thomas and Stella (Eller) Shook on November 15, 1932. She was a member of Mountain Park Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. After leaving Hiawassee, she and her husband Cecil resided in Stone Mountain, Georgia where they owned a millworks company. In her final years she moved back to Hiawassee to complete her journey to her eternal home. She was loved by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Jones; brothers, Willard Shook, Floyd Shook, Chris Shook, Norman Shook; sisters, Addie Mozelle Moore, Kathleen Potts, Montine Kephart. She is survived in death by a number of nieces, nephews and her great-nephew, Brian Stamps.
Visitation: Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 11:30-12:30 at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 12:30 at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor David Holt officiating.
Interment will be Monday, May 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Floral Hills Cemetery in Tucker, Georgia.
Banister-Cooper is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Jones.
