Joan Annette Ghiotto

Joan Annette Moody Ghiotto, born April 23, 1934 passed away in Hiawassee, GA January 6, 2022. Joan leaves behind a loving husband, Robert A. Ghiotto, children Jeffrey (Sherry) Ghiotto, Stuart (Carol) Ghiotto, Ginny (Mike) Puckett along with 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Joan was the head cheerleader at Mulberry High School in Florida where she met and married the star quarterback Bob. She and her husband shared a happy life together for 68 years.
Joan was an accomplished and gifted pianist and began playing in church at a very early age and continued to do so until recently. She blessed many in every church and community she served.
A native Floridian, Joan made Hiawassee her home for the last thirty years.
She enjoyed gardening as well as arts and crafts of many kinds and loved her many Shelty dogs.
Joan will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her extended family.

A memorial will be held at Hiawassee Methodist Church Saturday, January 15, at 11:00 am and the family will be available from 10:00-11:00am to receive attendees. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
