John Norrgard Teschke

John Norrgard Teschke, age 77 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023. John was born June 27, 1946 to the late Frederick and Agda (Norrgard) Teschke in Rahway, New Jersey and lived there until he was six and then moved to Miami SHores, Florida.  He was a graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He worked as a federal banker all over the United States. After he retired from banking he moved from Dalton, Georgia to Franklin, North Carolina, where he lived on the golf course overlooking the 9th hole. John was a church organist and keyboardist for what is now Macon Valley rehabilitation. He loved watching old movies, playing for churches and nursing homes and doing things for others. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phyllis Hopkins. He is survived by his friend/caregiver, Tammy Gibson; his little family, H.D., Theresa, Jaylen and Kiley; a number of cousins and many friends also survive. 

Visitation: Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Memorial Service: Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00pm at Macedonia Baptist Church.
