Kimberly Dawn Mitchell crossed the finish line in the journey of life on February 25, 2025. For the last 49 years, Kim fought the good fight of faith and she won. She is survived by her beautiful daughter Kindra Bryant and her husband of 7 years, Timothy Mitchell. They need our prayers as they are chartering unknown territory.

Kim’s success cannot be measured in accolades, awards or educational achievements. Her success was based on the tenacity by not giving up.

Kim was passionate about her patients as a CNA and loved working with the elderly. She had many struggles which included personal choices that resulted in hardships. She struggled with addictions, physical limitations and ignoring the opinions of others.

Kim would tell you the three greatest moments of her life were giving birth to her daughter Kindra, marrying her husband Timothy Mitchell, and finally surrendering her heart to Jesus.

While incarcerated in a Women’s Boot Camp in Union County, Jesus left the ninety-nine and went after Kim. Alone and misunderstood, Jesus walked in Kim's life and loved her unconditionally in her brokenness.

Her journey was filled with ups and downs, back steps and missteps. Towards the end of her life, Kim stated, the best part of her day was having her morning coffee and spending time with Jesus.

Persistence is defined by doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

Matthew 18:12-14 (NIV)

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.”

Kim's life will be honored as one of Heaven's greatest victories! Kim always said, "I'm trying to get myself to Heaven! Her desire was to reach others who also struggled with addictions. We are never promised tomorrow so on behalf of Kim let me ask you, "Do you know Jesus?"
