Lawanda Joy Denby

Mrs. Lawanda Joy (Foskey) Denby, age 54 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on June 27, 2012 following a period of declining health. She was born to Morris T. and Velma Foskey Hutchins on December 09, 1957 in Lithonia, GA. She was preceded in death by father, Morris Foskey and sister, Rhonda Gay Foskey. She is survived by her mother Velma Hutchins, of Hiawassee, GA; husband, Larry Denby, of Hiawassee, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Sharon Foskey, of Ooltewah, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jenny and Gary Garner, of Athens, GA; Sherry and Dale Slater, of Bloomingdale, GA; Angie Patton, of Hiawassee, GA; Laura Carroll, of Hiawassee, GA and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00AM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Evangelist Sharon Foskey officiating. Music was also provided by Sharon Foskey. A private family graveside service was held on Monday, July 02, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Wheeler cemetery. Interment was also in Wheeler cemetery in Kite, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations and contributions be made to Banister Funeral Home, P.O. Box 70, Hiawassee, GA 30546 to offset funeral expenses.
