Leola S Smith

Mrs. Leola (Shook) Smith age 91 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Friday, September 28, 2007 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late Elisha and Mary Lou (Watkins) Shook on September 28, 1916 in Towns County, GA. She is survived by daughters, Wilma Wooley, of Grand Blanc, MI; Carol Murray, Joanne Chambers and Patricia Hollifield, all of Hayesville, NC; brother, Arthur Shook, of Young Harris, GA; sister, Selma Chapman, of Acworth, GA; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 2:00 PM from West Union Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Young and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Music was provided by the Shook Family. Pallbearers were: Guy Wayne Shook, Terrell Shook, Terry Chapman, Cecil Shook,Rickey Plott and Tommy Shook. Interment was in West Union Baptist Church cemetery.
