Leon Henson, age 73 of Hiawassee passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Evan E. Henson and Christine Arrowood Henson on July 1, 1936 in Hiawassee. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Thomas Henson of Hiawassee; daughter, Latisha Lowe of Hayesville, North Carolina; son, Thomas E. Henson of Hiawassee; sister, Eva Lee Phillips of Hiawassee; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
