Linda Sue Burdette

Linda Sue Burdette, age 80, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 after an extended illness. She was born September 24, 1943 in Murphy, North Carolina to the late Floyd Ernest Marshall Sr and the late Edith Kay Hunter Marshall. She was a member of Woods Grove Baptist Church. Linda was married to Mr. Otis Burdette before his passing. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her downtime she enjoyed spending time with her family and listening to music. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Edith Marshall; husband, Otis Burdette; and daughter, Sharon Taylor. She leaves behind her daughter, Kay Hayes; brother, Floyd Marshall Jr; sister, Peggy Cozart; grandchildren, KaTaceya and Jason LaManna, Michael Taylor, Emma and Jonathan Chenweth, Jonathan Hayes, Nathaniel and Stephanie Hayes, and Sara Hayes; great grandchildren, Brystal Williams, Zane LaManna, Charlie Chenoweth, Miles Chanoweth, Cooper Hayes, Madeline Hayes and Freya Hayes.

Visitation: Saturday, July 20, 2024 1:00-3:00 at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home

Interment: Saturday, July 20, 2024 after the service at Woods Grove Baptist Church Cemetery
