Linda graduated from Augusta College and once clerked for a judge, studied as an LPN, and made a career at the State of Georgia working 34 years combined in eligibility, child abuse and neglect, adoptions and foster care, and retiring in 2004 from child care licensing. Protecting and promoting children was her life’s passion. Linda spent the majority of her life in Waynesboro and Augusta, but ultimately she and Dennis settled in the North Georgia Mountains in Hiawassee Ga when Zach became a latchkey kid in 2008. She became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and taught adult and kids Sunday school classes for many years. Linda loved to sing and dance whenever the opportunity arose and sometimes that was at the grocery store, church, or just on her front porch. She was a Christian lady who loved Jesus, her family, Elvis and old hymns. She touched lives wherever she went especially whistling while she worked and it was impossible not to love her. The world was a better place with her in it and will be a lot less bright without her. She will always be our sunshine.
