Lois E Thomas

Mrs. Lois Ewell Thomas, age 91 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late George Matney and Mattie T. (Berrong) Sellers on July 07, 1918 in Hiawassee, GA. She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church for sixty plus years. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Clarence Collins, of Young Harris, GA; Diris and Winston Farmer, of Hiawassee, GA; Judy Henson, of Hiawassee, GA; daughter-in-law, Jean Thomas, of Young Harris, GA; eight grandchildren, one step-grandchild, eight great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 02, 2010 at 2:00PM from Old Union Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Hogsed officiating. Music was provided by Bud and Jeanette Hughes. Pallbearers were Gregory Howell, Thomas Henson, Barry Collins, Eddie Bradley, Jeff Lowe, Tony Hamby and Glen Hegwood. Interment was in Old Union Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
