Loyd J Swords

Mr. Loyd J. Swords, age 66 of Hayesville, NC passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Murphy Medical Center. He was born to the late Junior Lee and Effie Wynell (Wade) Swords on May 13, 1943 in DeKalb County, GA. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Swords, of the home; daughters, Laura Swords, of Ellenwood, GA; Linda Cantrell, of Pendergrass, GA; Cathy Spilliards, of Young Harris, GA; son, Ricky Tanner, of Toccoa, GA; sister, Margie Tuten, of Decatur, GA; thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 01, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Dunn officiating. Pallbearers were: Derek Carter, Mark Carter, James Tuten, Larry Burnett, Robert Rogers and Edward Tuten. Music was provided by Jimmy Dunn and Spirit Blessed. Interment was in Laurel Hills Memory Garden cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
