Lucy L. Wood

Mrs. Lucy Lorene (Berrong) Wood, age 97 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Thursday, August 09, 2012 in Chatuge Regional Hospital. She was born to the late Allen and Bertha (Eller) Berrong on February 01, 1915 in Hiawassee, GA. She was of the Methodist Faith.  She is suvived by her daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Doc Moreland, of Hiawassee, GA; sister, Christine Lagston, of Macon, GA; many nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Banister Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Glen Eller officiating. Music was provided by Sheila Eller.  Pallbearers were: DeWitt Berrong, Leon Berrong, Robert Hunter, Dion Eller, Scott Eller and Curtis Dover. Interment was in Upper Hightower Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
