Manuel James Arrowood

Mr. Manuel James Arrowood, age 67, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on January 2, 2022 following an extended illness. Manuel was born on August 27, 1954 to the late Ralph James Garrett and Clara Bell Arrowood. Mr. Arrowood enjoyed working on old vehicles and his favorite car was a 1957 Ford. His grandchildren were his world and he spent every moment with them that he could. Manuel could often be found outside, working on something under the carport. He was full of love and life and never let you leave without saying I love you. His contagious smile and constant jokes were sure to keep everyone on their toes. Along with a heart full of Jesus, he dearly loved his family who meant everything to him. He was lovingly known as “Pops” and his legacy will forever live in the hearts of the ones he loved. Manuel will forever be his family’s hero. He was preceded in death by his parents Clara Roberts and Ralph Garrett; step-father, John Roberts; daughter, Tanya Arrowood; brother, Mack Neil Garrett and many other relatives. Manuel is survived by his children, Russell Arrowood (Brittney), Melissa Dumestre (Dalton), Alison Manalang, Kyle Arrowood (Brooke), Eric Arrowood (Jessica), and Angelina Arrowood; siblings, Denise Hardy (Barry), Marilyn Crane, and James Garrett (Kellie); 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; nephews, James Dean Garrett, Mack Neil Garrett; nieces; Ashley Neal and his beloved German Shepherd, Brax.

Service: Thursday, January 6, 2021 at 2:00PM from the chapel of Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiating
Interment: Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral service
