Mark Jeffery Shook

Mark Jeffery Shook of Hiawassee, GA moved to Heaven on December 30, 2023 after an extended illness. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Anita (Mull) Shook. sons, daughters-in-law & grandchildren, Justin & Shawnta Shook ( Addie & Avery ), Josh & Jessica Shook (Aizlyn & Emilia); grandchildren: Bryson, Cooper, Declan Woody; brother & sister-in-law, Clinton and Wendy Shook; brother-in-law & sister in law, Marvin & Elaine Mull. Family by love Kyle & Jaime Woody, along with nephews & a niece. Mark is preceded in death by his mother & father, Loureita & Harold Shook, and two brothers, Dwight & Keith Shook.

Mark was an avid car fanatic from before he could even drive. He knew every detail down to the correct serial numbers, especially on mopars. Deer hunting, fishing with his boys and coaching his boys baseball teams, going on deer rides with Anita and enjoying her delicious cooking or watching the grandkids ball games were some of his favorite ways to spend his evenings after working at the Shook's Body Shop he started. Traveling the United States on many road trips and yearly beach trips with his family were always special times for Mark along with any time that meant the whole family getting together. He said many times " I like to watch 'em (the grandkids) play" as he would sit back with a content smile and take in the site of them playing in the floor.

Mark accepted The Lord as his survivors and was of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by all who know him. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be to Banister-Cooper Funeral Home to help offset the cost of services. Easily donate toward the cost at the bottom of the page.
