Mattie Mae Chance

Mrs. Mattie Mae Chance, age 72 of Braselton, GA passed away on November 27, 2014 following an extended illness. She was born to the late Clarence and Gertrude (Michaels) Thompson on November 11, 1942 in Buford, GA. She is preceded in death by step daughter, Lydia Chance and brother, Tommy Thompson. She is survived by daughters, Shari Lynn Brown Carter, of Braselton, GA, Theresa Ann Frasier, of Toccoa, GA, Gertrude Marie Chance, of Marietta, GA, Cindy Darlene Harrison, of Braselton, GA, Shelby Renee Rigby, of Auburne, GA; son, James Samuel Polly Jr., of Hiawassee, GA; step daughters, Laviene Chance, Donna Chance; step son, Kenneth Chance of Cumming, GA; brother, Claude Thompson, of Cleveland, GA; sisters, Katherine Coffee of Lawrenceville, GA, Nettie Ruth Wood of Sugarhill, GA, Patricia Ann Thrasher of Buford, GA; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. The family received friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday, December 01, 2014. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 01, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Steven Grover, Matthew Frasier, Chris Martinez, James Paul, Daniel Tugman, Junior Harrison and Burt Carter. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
