Michael Don Ivey

Michael Don Ivey Sr, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend lost his short battle with lung
cancer.
Don was born in Riverview Alabama to Thereay and Ruby Ivey. He resided in Elkton MD, Allentown PA,
Clinton NJ, and retired to Murphy, NC. Don was well known in the Plastic industry working for Terumo
Medical, Constar, Twinco Romax, and self-owned Plastic Molding and Technologies. Along with doing
consultant work during his retirement.
Don also enjoyed gardening, fishing and metal detecting along with many home improvement projects.
He was HOA treasurer and always ready to lend a helping hand to the community.
Surviving is his wife Monika Visser Ivey. Sister Nanette and Charles Gouge. Brother Jerry and Roxanne
Ivey. Son Michael Don Ivey Jr. and fiancé Kristin Stuhler. Daughter Shelia Theresa Ivey and grand-
daughter Katelyn Longenecker. Grand sons Michael Don Ivey III and fiancé Rebecca Doman. Tyler Ivey
and fiancé Kathryn Ly-Bishop. Ryan Ivey, and great grandson Mason Don Ivey. Stepson Kris wife Brandi,
Delaney and Levi Clark. Sister-in-law Shirley Visser Furjanic.
A Memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Murphy at an up coming date.
